What we can offer to your mission team

A religious and educational experience: with opportunities to volunteer at Jardin de Milagro, helping in one of our local shelters, at one of our local food banks, tutoring our neighborhood children (readiness for school), worship with our Hispanic Congregation and educational moments that focus on border issues.

What we have

We have a shower facility, a laundry, and a full kitchen. There is no required worker skill level. For every 5 youth that come we will need 1 adult present; if you are bringing both female and male youth, you will need to bring both female and male leaders.

Come for a unique mission opportunity and experience our city situated at the base of the Franklin Mountains located in the Chihuahua desert. El Paso is a mix of many cultures; three states and two nations coming together. It is located at the southern edge of the Rocky Mountains. There are approximately 750,000 people on the Texas side and 1.5 million people on the Mexico side.
FCC is located in downtown El Paso in an older urban neighborhood, that is primarily Spanish speaking, low income, first generation Mexican-Americans. The congregation is centered upon mission and reaching out to the people of El Paso and across the border.
Currently we serve dinner to our neighbors once a month as an outreach project and we reach out to the families in our neighborhood in unique ways throughout the year. We support Jardin de Milagro (our local food bank vegetable garden) by providing some of the labor and financial assistance.
We have a nesting Spanish congregation led by Pastor Julian Ibarra. They worship on Sunday afternoons at 4 p.m. and on Thursday evenings at 7 p.m. We also house Bridges Academy a school for special needs children grades 1st 9th.
Call us at (915) 533-6819 and ask for Pastor Leslie or email her directly at leslie.dalstra@gmail.com for more information or to book your trip.
